The Dance Theatre Performing Arts is a performing arts school offering Children’s and Adult’s classes in dance, drama and voice.
Although taught separately, all classes are inter-related, and culminate in a full musical theatre production at the end of the season.
Recent productions have included: Peter Pan, Mary Poppins, and Alice in Wonderland.
A high energy class featuring a variety of movement and styles. Classes consist of warm-up and barre exercises, as well as progressions, improvisation, combinations and routines.
Students age 10 & over will receive a 45 min. class once a week for the 10 week session. (Session begins in September and once again in January). Jazz is a high energy style of dance and the class consists of basic jazz steps, traveling steps & mini combinations.
A dance form that incorporates technique, coordination and movement while promoting muscle tone, stretch and rhythm. Â
We follow the ADAPT Syllabus in our jazz program, as well as incorporating into it the latest in L.A. and New York dance styles.
Jazz is essential for students wanting today's Musical Theatre or Broadway (Commercial) styles. Jazz is an asset for school shows, local theatre productions & required for professional performance careers.
