Jazz dance is a snappy, sassy, theatrical type of dance. It can be danced to mainstream music, or Broadway. Every movement conveys lively expression.Dancers will be eased into the terminology and execution of various jazz dance styles and techniques.
Jazz classes can be patterned in any of these styles or a combination of them. Emphasis is on the importance of energy, rhythmical accuracy, and style. Each level of jazz is a continuation of the previous level and increases in difficulty.
Lyrical Jazz is a weekly dance class designed to introduce expression into a dancer’s technical skills. They will learn how to tell a story through their dance as they learn ballet and jazz techniques.
