Since 1990, several events have contributed to the development of the school such as the numerous shows, the creation of the Troupe and the Folklore Ensemble and the various training courses.
The school is distinguished by the excellent training and the great competence of its teachers who teach in their specialty. In addition, many of our students have chosen to continue their journey in the professional world of dance and do us honor on the national and international scene.
Finally, the Cadence school has hosted within its walls several artists from the professional world including Andréa Boardman, Louise Lecavalier, Steve Bolton, Sylvain Brochu, Line Binette, Maryse Blanchette, Lucie Boissinot and many others.

These High Energy Classes Are Available At Recreational and Competitive Levels For Ages 5 & Up
Jazz is designed to give students technique and style integrated with developing flexibility, strength, and a sense of musicality.
Classes are available for all levels and dancers will be placed at the correct level of ability. Catherine developed the syllabus for jazz and method of teaching herself!
Basic Jazz technique – posture control, weight placement, core strength – is very similar to Ballet, so Ballet training is often helpful for the Jazz dancer. Jumps and turns are prominent in Jazz training, and dances are usually performed to upbeat music with style.
Jazz classes are offered by The Dance Theatre Performing Arts. An exploration of the various styles of jazz dancing from lyrical to hip-hop, funk and the blues.
