Learning Outcomes:
Founded in 1889, Morley College London provides lifelong educational opportunities for diverse communities throughout London.
With centres in North Kensington, Chelsea and Waterloo, we offer a wide range of short courses, adult and higher education qualifications, and qualifications for 16 to 18 year olds.
Students will begin by looking into the basic tools, workshop health and safety, at best practices for the use of equipment and workshop awareness.
We'll cover all the basics of silver smithing and an introduction to jewellers tools and techniques to allow you to create your own pieces of jewellery and metal work.
This one-day self-directed workshop will provide you with the opportunity to create a small project of your choice or refurbish an existing project item – all with the guidance and expertise of the tutor.
If you want to create modern, unusual jewellery using contemporary materials this course will guide you through the process. You will undertake several projects to produce a range of pieces that explore different techniques.
During this full day course, you’ll learn everything there is to know about making two or three different types of jewellery out of sterling silver. This workshop focuses mainly on the techniques used, which will allow you to carry on developing your skills confidently.
