The Manor School of Ballet is an independent Performing Arts School based in Edinburgh and Galashiels. We offer the highest possible standards of training in Ballet, Jazz & Tap, Highland, Acro, and Musical Theatre.
We teach around 100 classes every week, so there is something for everyone and all are welcome!
We offer Performance Opportunities, Examinations, Class Awards, Scholarships, Workshops, Award Tests, and Summer Schools.
Your registration and first trial class are free of charge. We offer a 20% discount on any second or further class that any individual student takes and a family discount for families with three or more enrolled students.

Commonly referred to as Acro, these classes are a type of gymnastics but more of a beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements.
Acro dance is a style of dance that combines both dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. Acro dance requires flexibility, safe stretching, strength, balance, confidence and of course lots and lots of practice to reach the desired skills.
For ages 6 to 10 years wanting to learn how to fuse acrobatic elements with dance technique. Classes start with terminology, basic body shaping and introduction to inversion and lead on to strength and flexibility training, fundamental skill training (handstands, bridges and cartwheels).
This class introduces your child to the basics of Acro dance - forward rolls , handstands & cartwheels etc. Strength & flexibility is also developed in a fun and interactive lesson.
Created by a successful studio owner with decades of experience, Acrobatic Arts runs training and certification courses for dance teachers in the art of AcroDance.The program is based on safe and effective progressions with proven results.
