No queues, kids working together, correct courts, balls and equipment and plenty of opportunities for play. The four key elements of any Tennis Hot Shots Session are:
FUN: Players are actively engaged, excited and motivated to participate
TACTICAL/PLAY: Players think and make decisions about meaningful tennis situations.
SKILLS: Players have plenty of opportunities to improve their tennis skill
SOCIAL: Players build social skills such as working cooperatively with a partner, building friendships, encouraging teammates and showing sportsmanship during game play.
The Greendale Tennis Club provides an inclusive range of tennis opportunities, for all players, at all levels, within a friendly community. Greendale Tennis Club is located in the heart of Taradale right behind the shops, providing fantastic facilities to it's members and visitors.
Established in 1949, the Greendale Tennis Club has nine fully lit courts with six astroturf and three hard courts. Club rooms and changing facilities are included with the Taradale Sports Association. Added in 2018, there are two containers used for social club barbeques and gatherings. Alongside these, you'll find a viewing platform and benches to sit back and enjoy watching the tennis. Our Court Sponsors are as follows. Please support them when the opportunity arises.
Tennis (Junior Coaching) course is offered by Lynfield Tennis. While Junior coaching is our primary focus, we can help if you're a beginner starting up tennis, someone looking to fine tune your game, or someone looking to lift your game to the next level.
Teen Tennis course is offered by Planitpro. We deliver a world-class experience across junior, adult and performance tennis programmes, as well as run a full-service pro shop
In the early stages, children can learn the fundamentals of the game in our Tennis Hot Shots programme. They can progress through our coaching pathway as their skill level increases. When players are ready
This coaching course will teach you the tactical and technical fundamentals of tennis so that you can confidently play tennis with friends, family, your children, or other people you meet on the course.
Tennis Hot Shots course is offered by Avonhead Tennis Club. Tennis Hot Shots is the national starter tennis programme for New Zealand children. Smaller courts, shorter racquets and softer balls mean that kids can play a proper game of tennis from the moment they step on court.
