The London Music School offers unrivalled one-to-one tuition, harmony and theory classes, and song-writing and sight-reading lessons. Full time courses include frequent participation in group workshops and recording sessions, giving students the opportunity to widen their experience in live performance and recording settings, working with other musicians and accompanying vocalists.
Directed by experienced keyboard players Gary Baldwin (Hammond Organ specialist) and Bob Haddrell, our courses aim to take students on a rewarding journey through contemporary music education as they develop their skill and confidence with their instrument.
Gary and Bob’s years of teaching and performance experience, working with many famous artists and appearing on numerous recordings, has given them brilliant knowledge and skill in all styles of playing.
The genres covered in the keyboard course are both essential to the repertoire of any musician and taught in a way that is accessible to students. The keyboard course covers rock, classical, blues, soul, jazz, funk, classical, Latin and more.
The course places emphasis on the need to perform and students will gain experience in live performance, session playing and playing as part of a band.

We teach Keyboards in our custom-built music studio in Kings Norton, Birmingham.Students have a one hour lesson in keyboards and spend 50 minutes learning new techniques on their instrument followed by an exciting 10 minute jam session where students get to put what they have learned into practice.

Our keyboard lessons help students develop a clear understanding of melodic and rhythmic notation by putting theory into practice. Further, beginners will explore playing scales, using articulation, phrasing and dynamics as an expressive tool.
First-study pianists have up to two hours of individual piano lessons each week timetabled within the school day. They have time for practice, lots of performing opportunities with lunchtime concerts and weekly Performance Classes.
