Keyboarding software programs will be used to evaluate and provide drills for correcting individual weaknesses. These programs have proven very successful in building speed and accuracy to levels commonly sought by employers.It is expected that students will have learned to “touch-type” before registering for this course.
Touch typing means your fingers rest on “home row” when they are not reaching for keys in the upper or bottom rows, and that you can key without looking at the keyboard or your fingers. If you are not touch-typing, OADM 1103 is a more appropriate course for you to take.

Students will learn essential office skills such as basic accounting, office management, organizational politics, software applications, business communication, and event management.
The Introduction to Keyboarding course is designed for individuals who have no formal training in keyboarding.
Office administrators are often responsible for greeting clients, attending phone calls, scheduling appointments, filing records, sort and distribute incoming mail, coordinate outgoing mail, bookkeeping, and performing general office duties.
This program is designed for students interested in pursuing careers within Business, Marketing or Accounting. A selection of courses over a twelve-week program will give students an introduction to the field of business administration.
The objective of this program is to provide the student with opportunities to acquire and apply office skills and knowledge of business office concepts to meet the demands of today’s workplace.
