For Yarn's Sake opened its doors in November of 2009 with a focus on providing excellent customer service for knitting and crochet enthusiasts with a love of quality, sustainable yarns and fibers. We offer a vast selection of all natural yarns, in uber-soft, luxurious blends in a full spectrum of colors. A complete line of quality needles and hooks in exactly the right size. In July 2020 we moved to our current home at 3830 SW Hall Blvd. in Beaverton, just 1/2 mile from our old location on Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy. We now have nearly 3500 sq. ft. of floor space - and why? - so we can add new lines of wonderful yarn!
We're proud to be a winner of the Best of Beaverton Award for excellence in customer service in the Art & Crafts field every year since 2010.
Whether you need help on a technique, or following a pattern, our private crochet lesson will have you crocheting confidently! You can choose to have your lesson in person or virtually once you add to your cart.
Students in classes and camps choose to work on projects that interest them across many different fiber arts such as sewing, knitting, weaving, crochet or jewelry making.
If you’ve taken our Knits & Activewear sewing classes, you’ll find yourself making the pattern, cutting and sewing then wearing that garment to class the next week! Prereq: Patternmaking 1, 2
You've pieced it. You've quilted it (or someone has). Now you're ready to finish this puppy!! Come learn how to make binding and bind a sample quilt using your sewing machine (as well as some hand stitching) and have it turn out beautifully!
You will learn the basics of mosaic colorwork by knitting the Hashtag Cowl by Cheryl Faust
