This beginner's class is a complete primer that will start you off with perfect technique and lots of inspiration. It will prepare you for many of our fabulous other classes offered throughout the year. This class will teach you how to cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease and bind off.

This four session beginner's class is a complete primer that will start you off with perfect technique and lots of inspiration. It will prepare you for many of our fabulous other classes offered throughout the year. This class will teach you how to cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease and bind off. If you are doing crochet, you will learn the foundation chain, basic stitches (slip stitch, single, half double, double, and triple crochet), increasing, decreasing, and how to edge and join with crochet.
You'll make your first project and learn enough about the basics of pattern reading and gauge to dive into more complicated patterns. Class size is limited to allow for lots of individual attention. We recommend you committ to 4 classes to get the most benefit but you can attend four non-consecutive sessions. You will be charged for each class you register for. If you would like to register for all four classes at once just change the # of items purchased (the class) from 1 to 4 in your shopping cart and when you come in we will give you a punch card!

Allison and her husband Ray are both Clinical Psychologists. Ray doesn’t knit but he finds it fascinating that Allison does. She learned to knit while her son attended the Waldorf School 26 years ago. He didn’t learn to knit, but with much trial and error, she did. She calls herself an imprecise knitter and loves every second of it! You can find them at the shop in Dripping Springs, where she has lived for 29 years.

First Time Knitters or ReFreshers. Learn to start a project, knit “garter stitch” and how to end a project
Transition from observer to creator. This workshop is designed for people who have no previous knitting experience and for those wanting to begin again. Come as you are and we will bring to life your creative hands! We will begin with the fundamental building blocks of knitting.
Only a max of 6 will be able to gather. If weather allows, class be will be held in the flower garden. Small group, more instruction!
This class will cover the basics of making a patchwork block. In this class will cover choosing fabrics, notions, and techniques for making patchwork blocks. You should be comfortable with sewing on a machine and using a rotary cutter.
This class will take you through the entire process from cutting to binding as you make a throw sized quilt. You will learn what common acronyms mean like WOF and HST.
