This basic meditation class is for beginners, as well as anyone who would like to refresh their understanding of the meditation technique. It is ecumenical, and all are very welcome, regardless of their background.
The class will be led by the Spirituality Centre’s Buddhist chaplain, Dr. Colin Cordner, Director of the Ottawa Shambhala Centre. This workshop will be in person and located in the Spirituality Centre, T27, tunnel junction between Paterson Hall and Tory Building.

This course to is parallel to the pain course, as most of what is covered is just as relevant for those suffering from stress and stress-induced conditions.
This course will cover key grief and loss concepts relating to trauma and traumatic death.
This practice will be beginner friendly, and will take you on a journey through flowy, fun, and fiery moves.
This course focuses on the four most common mental health disorders including substance-related, mood-related, anxiety and trauma-related, and psychotic disorders.
Students will explore the impact of trauma on child development, drawing on attachment, neurobiological, and socio-cultural components of trauma.
