I started out sewing clothes with my sister, Colleen, and my good friend, Susan, under the guidance of our moms.
We would cut out patterns on the floor in the basement, sewing everything from tops to pants and Halloween costumes. Eventually, I even made my own wedding dress.
In Apparel Construction students will be working on their desired project(s), within their sewing level, whether it’s intermediate or advanced, our expert sewing instructors will help guide them towards mastering the different sewing techniques and push their design boundaries.
The à la carte courses allow you flexibility throughout the summer. Whether you are a beginner or intermediate, adult or child, bring your sewing kit and your project and a teacher will be there to accompany you.
We love sewing for kids. You can really go to town and get funky with your designs! Join our four part series designing and sewing children’s clothes. This course will completely change your outlook on buying new clothes for kids!
Beginner Classes are appropriate for those who have taken our Hello Machine class or who know how to thread their machine, wind a bobbin, change stitches and are comfortable with their machine.
