Sudden cardiac arrest is one of the UK’s biggest killers, and yet statistics show that most of the British public are unaware of the life-saving difference they can make by performing CPR and defibrillation.
The Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support & Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator course is a nationally recognised qualification and is a regulated course.
Who Is This Course For?
The course is designed for those who have a specific interest or responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities to provide Basic Life Support in an emergency situation which may involve using an AED. It is an ideal course for anyone wanting to learn about giving Basic Life Support and how to safely use an AED, or refresh their knowledge.
Assessment And Certification
During this half-day course, there will be a range of learning styles incorporated to maximise your learning experience. There will be a multiple-choice examination at the end of the course to test your knowledge. Upon successful completion of the course, each delegate will have the knowledge, confidence, and certification to give Basic Life Support and use an AED safely.
The certificate is valid for 1 year and after this, you will then need to update and refresh your knowledge by retaking the Level 2 Basic Life Support & Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator.

From current NHS staff to past Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service Firefighters - All of our trainers at Staffordshire First Aid Training are highly qualified and experienced in teaching Pre-Hospital Emergency Care, which enables them to deliver the highest quality standards of training for you.
Throughout the years, our family-run business has grown positively to enable us to have contracts with many local businesses, schools, early year nurseries, councils and even larger companies within the West Midlands.
We continue to offer a variety of courses to fulfil businesses and individual's requirements with the option of participating in one of our courses at a choice of one of our venues or your own venue.
At present, we offer regular open courses across the West Midlands for individuals or businesses in the following areas: Cannock, Stafford, Stoke on Trent, Burton upon Trent, Wolverhampton, and Telford.

At Staffordshire First Aid Training we offer many regulated courses, the 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work which gives you a good understanding of emergency situations or the 3-day First Aid at Work which has further medical conditions included.
The 2-day Paediatric First Aid meets Ofsted and EYFS requirements, or you could go for the 1-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid which gives you a good understanding of paediatric emergencies.
