Duration:

In the classroom the course will take 8 weeks to complete including taking the exam.  This is based on 2-day attendance per week.  Classes start at 10am each day and finish at 4pm with 30 minutes for lunch. 

 

About the course

The Level 2 Certificate in Computerised Payroll for Business is accredited by Skillsfirst and will help you gain the skills you need to carry out a range of regular computerised payroll routines and activities using commercially available computerised payroll software.

This qualification gives you the important underpinning knowledge and understanding of how payroll works with regards to tax codes, national insurance contributions, SMP, SSP and pension contributions.

 

What will i be able to do after completing the course?

  • Jointly developed by Sage UK in partnership with Skillsfirst, this course could help you to become a Payroll Administrator, Assistant Accountant Payroll Supervisor or in another similar job role.

 

How will I be assessed?

  • Computer based exam.

  • You must have successfully completed the Level 1 Award in Computerised Payroll for Business.
