This course is designed for students who want to progress to our Level 3 courses in Media (Film & TV) or Graphics and Photography. Are you interested not only in playing visual media and communication, but in how these work, and how technologies such as social networks, graphics and video footage are changing the digital and creative industry.

Taught at our brand new Digital and Creative Hub at Cauldon campus, opposite Staffordshire Univerity and Hanley Park, the course will help you to develop the knowledge and technical skills required to progress to Level 3 in Media, Gprahics and Photography or onto other Creative Media Production courses.
You will gain a solid foundation in media and design principles and technologies, will explore a range of software, including Adobe Creative suite (Photoshop and Premiere Pro) and techniques as well as learning how to develop your own ideas and designs.

Lightroom has become so powerful over the last few years that many photographers rarely need to jump into Photoshop. It can import, file, sort, keyword, caption and edit your RAW files then export them in a range of sized with or without watermarks.
Adobe InDesign can be used to produce high quality, professional publications. You will learn to use the tools and skills needed to work confidently with text, graphics, colour and layout for attractive publications.
This training helps delegate to use paragraph and character styles that allow them to format pages of text ,to build alternating size configurations of your document, and different panels that enable delegate to easily customize graphics.
During this two-day beginner course, you will become familiar with the Illustrator interface and terminology, colour, gradients, selection tools, geometrical&freehand drawing tools, typography, working with images, compound paths and more.
Learn the ‘basics’ starting with creating new documents and saving files in various ways. Moving on to discover several different drawing tools available and their functions, and finally being able to produce fashion flat CAD’s.
