Course Details

This course is ideal for those looking to build on their carpentry skills. Created for those with some knowledge and basic skills working with woodworking, this qualification provides a gateway to a number of exciting opportunities for progression, including supervisory and management qualifications.

All evidence and assessments will be managed by the e-portfolio system - Learning Assistant.

Candidates will be assessed through a number of assessment methods. Evidence will be collated by both the assessor and the candidate through observations, professional discussions, witness testimonies and supporting documentary evidence.

Competence is proved by the assessor observing the candidate demonstrating that they carry out their normal work activities competently to the industry standard whilst complying with current legislation.

The assessor will work with the candidate to confirm that they have met the requirements of the units of the qualification.

The candidate must be assessed in a work environment - workplace evidence of skills can not be simulated.
