This introductory qualification is the first step towards becoming a qualified teacher or trainer in the Learning and Skills Sector. It is recognised and valued nationally by employers and so if you want to go into teaching or training, it is an excellent qualification to hold.
The course is delivered through practical activities, discussions, presentations and reflective practice, all applied to practical teaching or training. The Award replaced the established 'PTLLS' qualification.

Who is this course for?
This course is ideal for you if you have just started in a teaching, training or tutoring role or if you have an interest in teaching in the future and wish to gain a Level 3 qualification.
How is the course assessed?
You are required to complete both theory and practical assignments and this includes delivering a thirty minute teaching session to your fellow students. All elements of the assessments must be passed, in order to complete the qualification.
