This accredited course is ideal for anyone who has responsibility for infants or young children other than early years’ practitioners who will specifically require the full two day Level 3 Paediatric First Aid qualification.

This shorter course concentrates more on emergency situations such as cardiac arrest, circulatory shock, choking and severe bleeding.

Course includes the basic operation and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)

Topics covered

By the end of the course, students will understand the role of the emergency paediatric first aider and be able to provide treatment for infants and children in a range of situations both minor and life threatening, including cardiac arrest, choking, circulatory shock, wounds and bleeding.
