Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (FAW)
This course is delivered in line with current guidelines and regulations set down by the European Resuscitation Council and the Health and Safety Executive HSE.
It is designed to ensure it meets the standards required of someone to deal with emergency situations highlighted by a First Aid Needs Risk Assessment.
Delegates will be taught by tutors who have a vast knowledge of first aid from Military, Ambulance, Police and Fire services.
Our tutors deliver the course in a fun and hands-on way to ensure delegates get the best out of it and build their confidence in doing so. When they return back to the workplace you can rest assured they will have the first aid knowledge and skills to ensure the organisation #StayLegalSaveLives when it comes to dealing with a first aid incidents.
Course Duration/Qualification
The course is usually delivered over 3 days (18 hours training) 9am-5pm daily. The course requires six practical assessments and 2 written theory assessments (multiple choice) to achieve the required standard.
The course is complete with a first aid manual per student. At the end of the course students will gain a Level 3 Qualification with Certificate and ID Card (ID Cards are not issued during COVID-19 Pandemic).
The qualification lasts for 3 years from date of completion and is Ofqual Regulated. It is advised delegates undergo a half day annual refresher course to ensure they stay up to date. The first year annual refresher is 50% off for all Pulse Rate Training Ltd delegates.

This First Aid at Work Requalification course looks at requalifying participants with First Aid at Work knowledge gained on a previous course. It refreshes and updates the First Aid skills of those who need to renew their First Aid at Work certificate and whose existing certificate is still valid.
Bumps and falls are inevitable and thankfully most aren’t serious, but it is important that you know what to do if you find yourself in a first aid emergency.  This course will teach you simple life-saving techniques, so you will feel more confident should you need to use them in real life.
