This informative, hands-on 5-day course fulfils the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level D, providing the knowledge and practical skills needed to deal with a range of prehospital emergency care situations. The Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) covers; administration of emergency oxygen, management of trauma patients, major illnesses and much more.

This qualification is endorsed by The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care – The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Intended Audience

People seeking a career in the ambulance service, event medical sector and those who work in high risk workplaces such as Police Officers, Firefighters, Door Supervisors, Close Protection Operatives and Mountain Rescue.

Entry Requirements

  • Must be at least 17 years old

  • Recommended - Level 2 in Literacy

Certification

Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a nationally recognised certificate which is valid for 3 years.
