Description

The VTCT Level 3 Award in Lash Extensions is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in how to apply individual semi permanent lashes.

Underpinning this qualification, you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practice in a salon environment, and how to promote client care and communication in beauty related industries. You will also develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification.

This is a fast track course that can be practised around your personal commitments.

Entry requirements

• No previous experience required

• Good standard of English sufficient to complete the course competences and online examinations.

• Students must be over 16 years old to enrol on this course

How long is the course:

• 2 days training, you will then re-attend the WLBA college to complete your assessments

• 10am - 5pm

• Maximum class size: 6 students

You will be required to complete some home-based practice to develop your skills in individual eyelash extension application.

How will I be assessed:

• Observations and oral questioning

• Practical assessments and assignments

• Portfolio evidence to demonstrate your understanding

Do I need to bring a model

• You will only need to bring a model for the practical assessments. At all other times students will be expected to practice on each other.

What do I need to buy for this course

• You will need to purchase an eyelash extension kit. The cost of the kit is £70.00 or you can purchase your own one

• Stationery including an A4 folder to hold your portfolio evidence and course materials

What can I do with this qualification

You can seek employment as a professional eyelash extension technician, or you can progress to VTCT specialist beauty related courses.
