The qualification is designed to allow the students to gain all of the knowledge needed to work on domestic, commercial and industrial settings as a qualified electrician.
All of the above modules will be carried out here at our purpose built dedicated training centre where we have various simulated training bays for you to carry out your practical assignments and our own computer suite linked to City and Guilds for you to take all of your online tests.
After successful completion of this course students need to gain employment or start working in the industry for themselves (if working for yourself you need to complete the 2391-52, 18th Edition and Part P, please see our gold installer course) and then complete the AM2 and NVQ level 3 before applying for their JIB Gold card

The NVQ is achieved via work/site based assessment and portfolio building and AM2. Full support and guidance from an Able Skills NVQ Assessor will be provided and readily available throughout. NVQ Level 3 is a requirement for those looking to achieve JIB Gold Card status.
This City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures) qualification is for individuals who want to work as electricians in the building services engineering sector. This qualification does not make candidates fully qualified electricians.
This programme is suitable for those with a keen interest in theoretical and practical engineering disciplines and who wish to pursue a prosperous career as a specialist engineer in various industries including marine, maintenance, automotive or manufacturing.
This course is perfect if you currently do not work within the electrical industry but may wish to do so and it will develop your understanding and skills of electrical installation.
BTEC Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Engineering and Electrical is offered by Stoke on Trent College.
