This course provides participants the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck safely.

This unit requires a person operating a forklift truck to plan the work, conduct routine checks on a forklift truck, shift loads in a safe manner, and safely shut down and secure equipment after completing operations.
Our comprehensive forklift licensing course is suited to those who may be working in warehouses or other industries where a forklift may be used to shift loads.
The course covers all aspects of forklift operation including planning your movements, maintenance checks, safe movement of loads and more. At the completion of the course, successful students can apply to SafeWork NSW to receive their licence which is valid anywhere in Australia.
High Risk Work Licence
A forklift licence is a high risk work licence that is issued by SafeWork NSW. At the completion of the course, successful participants will be given an application form for their high risk work licence. Once filled out, this form can be taken to an Australia Post outlet, along with 100 points of identification and a passport photo.
Once the application has been submitted, SafeWork NSW will issue your licence. Your licence is not given to you immediately after completing your course at HSE.
