Life Drawing For Beginners

This introductory class is the perfect platform to explore the human form through life drawing. A judgement-free space where questions are welcome, we’ll walk you through a simple step-by-step process for depicting the human figure on paper.

Enjoy a glass of wine as you interact with other beginners and pick up the basics of materials, techniques, and theory. We’ll have a nude model who’ll also be included in some discussion about what to expect from life drawing sessions and appropriate etiquette.

Practice underpinning and blocking to outline basic body shapes, experiment with different media, explore light and shade, and spend time testing the techniques you’ve learned.

This class is for absolute beginners and, while we can’t guarantee you’ll leave the next da Vinci, you’ll be able to approach any untutored life drawing class with confidence. No drawing skills required!
