Lyrical blends ballet and jazz techniques while allowing the dancer to express themselves through movement and through the lyrics of the song.
These classes are based on the Association of International Dance Teachers. Students learn expressive movement and patterning through both lyrical and traditional jazz styles. Students are placed according to age and ability.
Students will be guided to understand the meaning behind a piece of music and will learn to emote a story through movement. Classes will begin with a full body warm up and stretch.
A combination of jazz and ballet. Lyrical combines many elements of classical ballet with the freedom of jazz, contemporary and modern dance.
