Lyrical dance combines the technique of ballet with the freedom and airier aspects of jazz, contemporary and modern dance.
Most lyrical dance pieces are performed to music with lyrics and the lyrics of the song are what the choreography of the dance is based on. Lyrical B is a 45 minute class.

Our jazz/lyrical pre-school classes introduce dancers to flowing movements and encourage flexibility.
Lyrical dance is highly expressive and creative. Classes follow the BTDA Syllabus, from Grade 1 – 8. Students may begin lyrical and add an extra skill to their collection when they reach Grade 3 ballet or jazz.
Lyrical dancing is performed to music with lyrics to inspire movements to express strong feelings and emotions.
