DurationLyrical is a beautiful style of dance that is simply danced to the lyrics of a song! We will work on classical technique and performance skills with in the class. Dancers will learn to choreograph and pick up choreography all with no pressure of exams, just the chance to enjoy dancing!
We are an Acrobatic Dance school with some dance and technique classes to help our dancers to reach their potential as Acro Dancers. Acro Dance is a style of dance that incorporates elements from artistic gymnastics, ballet, lyrical, jazz, contortion, yoga and acro yoga.
We follow the Acrobatic Arts syllabus which has been created in Canada with input from Cirque du Soleil, physiotherapists, dance teachers in ballet, jazz, modern, hand balancing specialists and more!
Acro focuses on 5 main elements: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Partnering and Tumbling.
At WADPA we have lyrical classes from grade 1 level (age 7ish) up to senior level. We encourage all our students to take exams if they wish to.
Our jazz/lyrical pre-school classes introduce dancers to flowing movements and encourage flexibility.
Lyrical dance classes are offered by Just Thrive. Our team of dance teachers believe dance is for everyone and anyone, doing everything they can to meet your expectations.
