Find Your Place in Hospitality and Tourism Management

A key advantage of our program is that we are part of the Isenberg School of Management giving our students a more effective education with courses such as marketing, business information, communications, finance, and accounting, as well as in the specialization of hospitality and tourism management.

Our program offers networking and engagement with industry leaders, peer-to-peer collaborations, and global travel opportunities, to give our students first-hand industry experience. 

 

Course Requirements

To meet the graduation requirements for a BS degree, every HTM major is required to complete the following coursework:

  • BS core requirement courses in Isenberg and other areas within UMass that include introductory and upper level courses in areas such as Math, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Marketing, Finance, and Communications

  • HTM core requirement courses in areas such as Lodging, Foodservice, Human Resources, Hospitality Law, Customer Experience, and Financial Decision Making

  • Electives such as Social Media and Information Technology, Casino Management and Leadership

  • A culminating Strategic Planning capstone course that integrates your whole educational experience

  • Hospitality fieldwork practicum
