Course Details

To provide theoretical and practical training to personnel who are responsible for the management of major emergencies at the the work site.

 

Objectives:

  • By the end of the session(s), participants should be able to:
  • Familiarized themselves with the latest Emergency Response Policy procedures and Emergency Control Center set-up for their respective work areas or organizations.
  • Identify the role of mutual aid and third-party resources available to be called upon if and when required during an emergency situation.
  • Demonstrate the correct communication procedures and sequential processes for responding to any emergency.
  • Acquire knowledge by studying real-life emergencies and sharing experiences from previous emergency drill exercises.

 

Intended Learning Outcome:

Able to manage different or multiple scenarios of major emergencies effectively within areas of responsibility.

 

Designed and mandatory for:

All frontline supervisors who are entrusted with responsibilities to effectively manage an emergency situation and to safeguard personnel. (Examples: Offshore Installation Managers, Operations Supervisors, Deputy Operations Supervisors, Drilling Supervisorss, etc..).

 

Course Methodology:

  • This course will be presented in English. The course delivery format will be a combination of lectures, exercises, and "close to real-life" emergency management assessments in an event simulator.
  • This is competence-based training. The measurement of learning shall be through demonstration of performance during the assessment in the event simulator.
     

 

Pre-Requisite:

  • Good command of written English
  • Able to identify Hazard (have attended one of the following trainings: PTW, or Accident Investigation )
  • Sufficient working experience at supervisory level (minimum 5 years) in relevant fields.
