This course is targetted at motiviated nurses wishing to drive standards of practice and reduce drug errors and harm from medications in the social care environment. Delegates revise core pharmalogical principles, legislation and guidance and examine the entire medicines management system in their workplace environment.
The course explores medicines optimisation, identifies resource pools, discusses professional networking and equips the delegate to perform and analyse practice audits to advise colleagues and implement improvement strategies.
At the end of the course the nurse is provided with a champion portfolio starter back to build their own resource hub and further develop themselves in the role of medicines management link nurse after the course.
