Successful participants will achieve a Mental Health First Aid certificate from the Mental Health Commission of Canada.

Prior to the the full day in person portion, participants must complete the self-directed module (Module 1) that focuses on the information and strategies that participants will discuss and practice throughout the classroom modules (Modules 2 and 3).
Course participants are required to complete Module 1 before participating in Module 2 and 3.
Upon registration, participants will receive access to the “MHFA Participant Reference Guide” that outlines MHFA actions for developing mental health and substance use problems, and mental health and substance use crises.
Please note that completion of a self-directed component is required prior to attending the virtual classroom modules.
Participants can expect to spend approximately 2 hours completing this portion of the program, and must submit proof of completion no later than 48 hours prior to the start time of the classroom module.
