Course Details

Microneedling is a non-invasive, non-surgical and non-ablative procedure for facial and body rejuvenation that involves the use of a needling device to create a controlled skin injury. Microneedling is considered to be one of the safest skin rejuvenation treatments currently available.

The aim of Micro-Needling (Collagen Induction Therapy) is to stimulate the ?production of new collagen. Using the skin’s ability to heal itself, puncturing the dermis with microscopic needles triggers the production of new collagen.

Micro-Needling produces channels in the dermis which sufficiently stimulate the body’s natural defences to repair the skin, producing concentrated amounts of collagen and proteins to the treated areas of skin. Topical products applied directly after Micro-Needling can be absorbed to a far deeper level in the skin, making them more effective.

What is Skin-needling?

Skin-needling is the penetration of the skin by very small needles. This can be in the form of a stamp type tool with a long handle or a roller.

How does it work?

The micro-needle roller works in two ways. The first is that it assists transdermal absorption and the second by increasing collagen production. Micro needling is a type of treatment that uses small needles on a rolling pin to cause tiny punctures in the skin. These small contact points encourage the body to create a wound healing response and renew the skin cells.
