The Academy was founded by Master Awie Davis in 1990 and it celebrates its 29th anniversary in 2019. From a humble beginning with few members; the Academy developed into a very successful academy where professional training is conducted on a full-time basis (Monday – Saturday) by Master Instructors Awie Davis (6th Dan) and Xander Davis (5th Dan).
For the past 29 years, the Academy successfully presented more than 100 Black belt Dan graduates and coached a total of 30+ National Team Members who represented South Africa abroad. The Academy also produced numerous World Champions in various categories.
