Centre Stage Academy of Performing Arts was Founded by Carol Bicker in October 1999 and is now established as a leading organisation in providing fantastic performing arts training for young and old in the Leeds / Bradford area.
We more than welcome girls and boys from 3 years upwards to early 20s. We provide classes in Performing Arts, Ballet, Tap, Modern Dance, Street Dance, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Zumba, Competition Dance, Drama, Acting for TV, Speech & Drama, LAMDA Coaching and Exams, Singing & Vocal Coaching and much more.
Classes have been taken by hundreds of young children in order to learn new skills, make friends, perform on stage and also on TV, Our classes have been designed to deliver excellent training in dance, drama and singing, Our weekly scheduled classes have been planned and designed to provide amazing opportunities and availability for all.
We also provide classes on a weekend too. All our classes are fun and interesting and taught by qualified and passionate teachers who aim to deliver excellence in all genres of Performing Arts.
The experiences we have given our pupils are many, including Theatre performances locally and also in the London West End and on several occasions in Disneyland Paris.
We have also provided examinations with LAMDA and IDTA, ISDT and ABRSM (The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music), where we continue to maintain a 100% pass rate. We have also provided pupils for other professional performances on the stage, radio and television, music videos and competitive festivals.
Classes are available to children and adults in order for them to train specifically for a career in Performing Arts or classes can be taken just for fun and confidence building and making new friends.
Pupils are coached by experienced, qualified and professional staff who are all CRB licenced. Our primary aim is to inspire children to gain achievements in the arts and help develop confidence and expression from each individual.
This class will focus on the foundation vocabulary of hip hop dance. Basic steps and grooves will be taught and variations of them will be explained to explore how each step can have multiple ways of dancing it.

At around age 7 or 8, boys move from Junior Funky Moves into Boys Street (I) and Grade 1 Modern to further improve their dance skills and to start learning basic dance technique. It is compulsory to learn both modern and street together.
