Dance Discovery was set up in 2013 by Clare Bungay specialising in RAD ballet, ISTD Tap and Jazz, Hip-Hop and Zumba for ages 18 months to Adults.
The main aim of the dance school is fun and enjoyment while working towards RAD & ISTD exams throughout the year. We also have various performance opportunities which we encourage pupils to attend, such as gala days, Christmas fairs and our own annual showcase.
Body movements and isolations are used here with big kicks and elevated work. Shown to its finest in musicals such as Chicago.
Jam Dance’s aim is to teach and inspire their students to develop their technical knowledge and ability as well as instilling confidence and passion for dance and performance.
Modern Jazz classes are offered by Hype Dance Company. We aim to provide opportunities for all to realise their creative potential through dance.
Here at SLP Junior Academy, the skills gained in our Jazz classes help to develop and strengthen the technique learnt from Modern Dance and is used to enhance styles such as commercial and lyrical.
Many of our dancers love taking this class, as it gives them the opportunity to learn new movements and easily showcase their talent.
