The BJMA Muay Thai syllabus includes a grading system, similar to the system used in most martial arts. A typical beginners Muay Thai class begins with a short warm-up, often followed by some skipping and then stretching, push-ups and sit-ups. Students then move into some shadow boxing, followed by pad work with a partner.
