We realize children and families lead busy lives, so we offer flexible dates and times for lessons, and have a reschedule/make-up option.
The Minneapolis School of Music, founded in 2010, offers services that range from private lessons to music theory and group ensembles. Located near downtown Minneapolis, we have over 12 years of teaching experience and provide instruction in everything from voice, piano, guitar, to woodwinds, drums, theory and more.
It helps students become more advanced songwriters and composers, and music theory also helps students get a big picture understanding about how music works for their specific instrument and for other instruments as well
Music Theory lessons allow children to read and write music notation, to understand how music works and to hear and read is merely a means to an end – music students should be able to use their music theory skills to play their instrument in a more informed manner and to compose their own music.
After your free introductory lesson, if you decide to continue, you will fill out a short contract authorizing us to charge your credit card for the remaining lessons in the month.
MCMS offers private lessons and semi-private lessons on a variety of musical instruments in a wide range of musical styles to students of all ages.Â
