Christchurch Music Academy has a number of musical groups, ensembles and bands available for students of all ages to participate in. These performance groups bring our students’ musicality to the forefront, develops confidence, motivates and helps with the development of key skills through mentorship.

A choir class will be available if numbers allow. This is open to all students aged between 7 and 12/13 (end of school year 8). The Choir will take place on Saturday afternoons between 12.15 pm - 1.00 pm
The Manawatu Voices Choir is established for singers Year 5 - Year 10 seeing vocal technique and musicianship extension.
The Orchestra caters for young musicians who are playing at around grade 1 to 4 level, and concentrates on developing the skills of group playing.
The school provides Ministry of Education subsidised group music lessons for primary and intermediate age school students
