Dance World Studios offers foundation courses that provide an insight into the world of musical theatre through a practice-based singing, acting and dancing course.
This foundation courses are ideal for students currently in high school, recent graduates considering a career in the performing arts or adults with prior formal or performance experience.
Students are supported and guided by experienced teachers who inspire best practice and the importance of disciplined training. The musical theatre short courses also provide students with an insight into the more comprehensive full-time training that Dance World Studios has to offer.
Established in 1987, Dance World Studios (aka APO Arts Academy) is one of Australia's leading performing arts institutions, offering vocational training in dance, classical ballet & music theatre.
Musical Theatre Course is Offered by Shee’k Dance Studio.
This is the class to do if you are interested in competition work. Within a theatrical troupe class students learn tap, jazz, song and tap and song and dance.
Combine singing with movement and character development. This is the true 'triple threat' class. Students learn vocal control to allow confident singing whilst dancing. Lessons incorporate current and classic musicals and is a fun way to develop performance skills.
A vibrant and energetic class to enhance performance skills and develop confidence in every child. This program is part of our Fanfare Fridays which also includes Hip-Hop and Tap classes. Contact us for more information on this exciting class combination.
Have the best of all worlds with a combination of singing, drama and dance in our group musical theatre classes. Students will learn various aspects of musical theatre including staging and the techniques required for the perfect performance.
