Nail Technology Level 2 Award

Overview

The Nail Technology Level 2 Award course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to pursue a career in the nail industry. This course is suitable for individuals with a passion for beauty and aesthetics, aspiring nail technicians, or those looking to expand their skills in nail care and design.

Throughout the course, participants will learn the fundamental principles and techniques of nail technology. They will develop a deep understanding of nail anatomy, health, and safety practices, as well as the different tools, products, and materials used in nail treatments.

The course focuses on the particular skills involved in applying and maintaining nail enhancements. The knowledge gained in this unit includes preparation, application, maintenance and removal of nail enhancement system, UV gel.

Entry Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 16 years of age on or before 1st of July in the year of proposed entry to course.

• Applicants must have a satisfactory level of fluency in English, both written and spoken.

• Applicants will be required to dress in professional attire by means of a black top/trousers and closed in shoes.

What Will I Study?

There are two learning outcomes to this unit. The learner will:

• Be able to prepare for nail enhancement services

• Be able to provide nail enhancement services

How Will I Be Assessed?

This unit will be assessed by practical tasks and knowledge and understanding task(s) in an assignment or an online test.
