The main career opportunities in Building and Civil Construction.
Civil Engineering deals with the design and construction of the artefacts of civil use. This training programme is designed for non-civil engineers aspiring to work in construction and civil engineering industry.
All the NATED programs offered are trimester based, ranging from the National Certificate level 1 (which is equivalent to an NQF qualification level 2) up to a National Certificate level 6 (which is equivalent to an NQF qualification level 5).
This qualification is designed to provide both the theory and practice of Civil Engineering and Building Construction. The practical component of study may be offered in a real workplace environment or in a simulated workplace environment.
The programme progresses through three levels. Each N level takes place over one trimester. After each trimester, students are eligible for a National Certificate on that level. We recommend continuing through all three levels in order to qualify for the National Diploma.
