Our Neurodiversity Awareness workshops enable all colleagues regardless of hierarchical titles or positions, to become more aware of the possible needs of their colleagues who may be impacted by neurodiverse challenges.

Our Workshop Description

We already make reasonable adjustments to help people with all sorts of different needs.

For example, if someone has a sore back, we ensure they can have the right chair. Alternatively, if someone is partially sighted, like my sister, you may offer speech-to-text technology on their PC and various accommodations for those who use a wheelchair and so on.

These are just a few things that considerate and inclusive organisations do for their colleagues.

Who Should Attend and Why?

Who? - Anyone who wants to gain a better understanding of the world that many neurodiverse people live in, the challenges they face, how those challenges are triggered and how we can all help in minimising or possibly even removing some completely.

All those who are neurodivergent or believe they may be, and those who really want to make a difference in how they communicate with neurodiverse colleagues.

(Mac will happily answer any questions he can or possibly point people to other resources. He also shares his experiences of the diagnosis process and how he found it).

Why? - Regardless of who we work with or for, we must all do everything we can to work well together and build and maintain excellent working relationships.

When we truly understand things from the perspective of others (our Moccasin Approach®), we are far better able to communicate and work with them effectively and efficiently.

We also need to be aware of the relevant laws (Equality Act 2010) and how we can ensure that we are all making the reasonable adjustments that we can and supporting all our colleagues regardless of their abilities.
