This course applies to operators who are required to wear breathing apparatus because they are working;

with hazardous gases/vapours
in an oxygen-deficient atmosphere
in other situations requiring the wearing of breathing apparatus
Operators may also be required to wear breathing apparatus in emergency situations, however, this is not the prime focus of this course.
Host Safety and Training Pty Ltd was founded by family team Matt Keating and Dave Cassells in 2016 and is still supported by the same family influence today.
From humble beginnings, HOST acquired The Australian Institute of Resources Training PTY LTD, RTO 40772 as a subsidiary in early 2017 to continue to build the business on excellence and to service our clients.
Starting on the Sunshine Coast, the business now has footprints and offices in Gladstone, Mackay, Victoria and Northern Territory servicing many clients and projects along the way.
The business was started with a vision to provide the highest level of project management, training and safety consultation on offer.
Together we have over 50 years of experience in the mining, oil & gas and construction industries, and have taken this experience into the safety and training industry.
This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely perform basic scaffolding work. Scaffolding work involves erecting, altering or dismantling a temporary structure to support a platform from which a person or object could fall more than four metres.Â
This awareness course provides the participants with the knowledge and skills to correctly use hand and power tools. They will look at the hazards and risks associated with using these tools and the different types of tools now available.
The training to achieve this High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (LF), consists of 3 components: Formal theory training, supervised work experience and assessment. We offer three options to obtain the licence.
The TLILIC0005 - Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more) course provides the formal training and accredited assessment which will allow you to apply for a Queensland HRW Licence for Boom Type Elevating Work Platform - WP.
Working in confined spaces is a highly hazardous activity and is governed by various legislative instruments. Confined spaces are commonly found in tanks, ducts, flues, chimneys, containers or other similar enclosed or partially enclosed structures.
