This class requires some prior drawing skills so students will be ready to take on challenges with the brush that will help further their craft as artists.
Students will paint a variety of still life, animals, people, fantasy, and landscapes to perfection working in the mediums watercolor and acrylic paint. Colored pencils are part of this course to incorporate a mixed media finish to their master pieces.

This course will give you the tools and information you need to finally begin painting in color. Learn how professionals and expert artists see and think about color.
Students learn drawing techniques in many different mediums. These include but are not limited to pencil, charcoal, chalk and conte crayons on a variety of paper types.
Drawing class is offered by Gallery on the Square.The Gallery on the Square is a retail art gallery which promotes local artists of all mediums.
Teen artists will deepen their knowledge of painting and further their painting skills in color mixing, paint application, texture, layering, composition, palette knife, brushwork, and more.
We will explore in depth ways to achieve layouts as well as backgound paintings. We will develop a finished portfolio 4-8 final keyshots, Isometric top down location drawings, Prop pages, and Environment pages.
