Who Should Attend

The flagship PASMA course attracting in excess of 60,000 delegates a year is aimed at personnel who will be responsible for assembling dismantling moving and inspecting mobile access towers when using 3T or Advance Guardrail AGR systems.

Course Agenda

 The PASMA Towers For Users training course begins with a comprehensive introduction to the course and its objectives
 followed by an overview of the relevant regulations and legislation pertaining to mobile access towers.

The first session also includes a detailed explanation of the PASMA code of practice and a discussion on the roles and responsibilities of a tower user. The second part of the course dives into the specifics of tower assembly

  •  alteration

  •  inspection
  •  and dismantling processes.
  • This includes a thorough understanding of the manufacturer's instruction manual and the correct use of stabilisers
  •  outriggers
  •  and guardrails.
  • The session also covers the safety measures to be taken during tower assembly and dismantling.
  • The final part of the course focuses on practical training.
  • Participants will get hands-on experience in assembling
  • altering
  •  and dismantling a tower under expert supervision. The course concludes with a knowledge test and a practical assessment.

Venue

Available at any of over 50 centres nationwide or on client premises provided there a scaffold tower capable for training purposes and adequate room to conduct both the theory and practical training.

Accreditation

Upon successful completion and passing of the PASMA Towers For Users training course, candidates will be awarded the coveted PASMA Card and Certificate. These are recognised and highly valued credentials in the construction and civil engineering industries across the UK.

The PASMA Card is a photo ID card that serves as a proof of the holder's competence in assembling, altering, moving, inspecting, and dismantling mobile access towers. The PASMA Certificate is an official document that confirms the candidate's successful completion of the PASMA training course. Both the card and certificate are valid for a period of five years.

More Information

The course is delivered over a whole day theory in the morning practical in the afternoon. The PASMA course has a multiple choice closed exam as part of the theory which delegates must pass in order to progress to the practical training in the afternoon. PASMA is a registered collective trade mark of PASMA and all courses advertised are delivered by affiliate members of PASMA where we are acting as broker. You will be informed of the relevant member affiliate at time of booking. XYZ Training Group Ltd is not currently a member or affiliate of PASMA, however rigorous checks are made to ensure that all courses advertised are being provided by a bonafide PASMA trainer affiliate entitled to deliver the training and we accept all responsibilities in that regard.
