Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the essential concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics.

The PALS Course aims to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.The PALS Course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies involving infants and children.

These include personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and others who need an AHA PALS course completion card.

The course allows learners to think about pediatric emergencies and critically debrief in an instructor-led lead skills group environment.

The class uses learning stations to practice essential skills in simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active participation; the hands-on class format reinforces skills proficiency.

• PALS New Provider initial course (2-day) is for people who have never held a PALS credential. The course is formatted for the new provider seeking to establish a solid pediatric critical care foundation. The information and skills are delivered steadily, instilling confidence in a positive learning environment.
• PALS Update course (1-day) covers all the updated material in a single-day setting. Our low-stress and informative classes build confidence and team interaction.
