Students are taught safe and efficient work practices in obtaining adequate and correct blood specimens, labeling specimens, and transporting specimens correctly to the appropriate laboratory sections. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B and other diseases are stressed.

Transform Your Future With Our Phlebotomy Program. Master the art of drawing blood and laboratory procedures with our Phlebotomy program.
Each year, we usually offer four phlebotomy classes with an enrollment of up to 12 students in each class. In this 12-week program, students will learn to draw blood specimens from patients for the purpose of testing and analysis. Â
Our phlebotomy workshop is best suited for Certified Nursing Assistants, Medical Assistants, EMTs, and/or returning Phlebotomists and Nurses. The course includes video-based training, instructor-led discussions, and hands-on training.
The objective of the Phlebotomy Technician Program is to prepare the student by providing the occupational education, training and skills an entry-level employment opportunity for the phlebotomists in all aspects of phlebotomy.
Hands-on training includes blood-drawing procedures such as basic venipuncture techniques, butterfly techniques, heel puncture, and capillary puncture.
