Photography today is firmly established as both an art form and an essential tool in communication. If you already know how to operate your camera and are comfortable with your knowledge of most of its functions, this is the course you are looking for. Learn how to put that “wow” factor into your digital photos.
This is a course for those who already know how to operate their Digital SLR camera at a basic level, and now want to take their skills to the next level. Whether you take photos for pleasure or want a career, your teacher will teach you to get your camera off autopilot and get the most out of your Digital SLR.
A quick grounding in the basics and legal issues is followed by practical use of your camera in a day shoot with a special subject, and a night shoot in a secret location.
You will receive homework every week followed by plenty of discussion about your own photos. Expect a creative and inspiring work environment that is very hands-on.
Learn how to use every feature on your DSLR including lenses, shutters, aperture, ISO and their relationships. Discover creative depth of field, composition, tips and techniques, lighting and presentation.
This short course is non-accredited therefore is not registered with the National Training Register.

These are 2hr hands on photography workshops where Kat goes through the fundamentals of photography and then creates a product/food related scene showing you the way she thinks and composes her photos.
The course is designed to benefit those who are starting out in Photography and would love to learn where everything is on their camera, how to adjust it, how to import images to their computer, add a basic edit & then export them ready to publish or share with friends and family.
Learn to use your digital SLR camera (if the lens is removable it's an SLR) to its full potential. This intensive beginners course covers camera function, lenses, lighting, composition, close-up, accessories and more
This fun and informal workshop will take you through the fundamentals of food styling so you can create amazing food images using props and lighting you have at home - along with your smartphone, a few insider tricks and some very clever apps!
During the three hour course you will learn how to creatively use your camera functions, understanding and controlling exposure in various light conditions, understanding focal length,perspective and depth of field.
