Lessons for preschool children (aged 3-4 years) are not instrument specific but instead focused on having fun with music. A typical lesson would include songs, rhythm exercises and games which all explore the piano as well as percussion instruments. At HMMT we use either the Wunderkeys Preschool series or the Poco Piano series, depending on the preferences of the child.
For young beginners (4+) we use Pauline Hall's Tunes for Ten Fingers series, progressing onto the more advanced Oxford Piano Time books. Alongside these we use a selection of resources including worksheets, games and puzzles.
Students working through ABRSM, Trinity Guildhall and/or SQA exams will be guided through all aspects of those exams processes. This includes help with sight-reading excerpts and preparation for aural tests.

Hanah graduated from the University of Aberdeen in June 2015 with a 2:1 BMus (Hons) degree where she studied flute under Catherine O’Rourke and piano with Drew Tulloch.
Since moving back to Edinburgh, Hanah has worked for many music schools and services around the city including, Edinburgh School of Music, Key Player Yamaha Music Point, All About Music Education and the City of Edinburgh Council Adult Education Programme.
Hanah Mack Music Tuition has been based in Stockbridge since September 2016 and moved to the Banana Row Music Studios on Eyre Place in 2019. All lessons and classes are currently running online only.

Our specialist piano teacher and vocal coach Anna Supova, who from our luxurious Southampton Recording Studios, provides piano tuition for all levels of pianist and in all genres of music, from Classical piano classes to Jazz piano lessons.
