About Us
In this hands-on event, we will be canning salsa to enjoy all year round. Tips and techniques from expert canners will make the evening of preserving a zesty fiesta.
Tips and sharing of experiences are coupled with hands-on practice, including harvesting ingredients directly from our gardens. Seasoned fermentistas also enjoy this workshop as a way to learn about local ingredients, with lots of opportunities for inspiration and troubleshooting.
Join Chef Andrea Potter as she leads us through some basic fermentation processes to make healthy, probiotic pickles- without the fuss of canning!
These workshops have been created in consultation with the Root Cellars Rock Advisory Committee and other local food champions from across the province.
This seasonal hands on workshop, shows you how to pickle safely, using a water bath canner.
